MERL-Rice Near-INfrared Pulse (MR-NIRP) video dataset (driving) [download]

This is the first publicly available video dataset with ground truth pulse signals captured during driving. We recorded the videos simultaneously in broadband RGB (with a standard color camera) and narrow-band near-infrared (NIR) in 940 nm and 975 nm, with pulse oximeter recordings as ground truth of the vital signs. The dataset contains 190 videos of 19 subjects captured in different weather conditions (sunny, overcast/rain, during the day and at night) during driving as well as inside a parked car in a garage. Each subject performed different motion tasks ranging from looking around the car, looking at the rearview and side mirrors, talking, laughing, and trying to sit completely still.

Please see the README for more information.

Face videos were recorded simultaneously with broadband RGB (with a standard color camera) and narrow-band 940 nm near-infrared (NIR), with pulse oximeter recordings as ground truth of the vital signs. We recorded 15 videos total of 8 subjects during a stationary task where the subjects sat still and a motion task where the subjects performed small out-of-plane head motions and talked.
